Overview
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing courteous front desk services to guest by delivering products and services that result in a pleasant hotel stay and overall gaming experience.
Qualifications
Experience, Education, and Certifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required
- 6 months of Front Desk/Hotel Operations experience
- Must possess a high degree of interpersonal and customer relations skills necessary to ensure total guest satisfaction
- Must have exceptional phone etiquette
- Must be able to work standing for long periods of time
- Must be technologically savvy and be able to operate and enter information into a computer
- Must possess basic math skills necessary to accurately calculate and process guest payments
- Must be able to follow procedures in standard situations in which specific steps are involved
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must possess strong mathematical skills specific to position responsibilities.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

- The Casino environment is hectic, fast-paced and often crowded and noisy. May be exposed to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to, second hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to general public.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions: - Checking out any vacant and clean (due out) rooms and changing statuses of rooms in the rack. - Running alert date reports - Reviewing out-of-order and off-market rooms on a daily basis for validity. - Answering incoming phone calls and responding to guest requests. - Responding to guests checking out via video check-out. - Offering bell assistance to each guest upon departure and running applicable reports to verify correct room rates. - Perform other duties as assigned.
