1Support the Process Safety Manager, including with the coordinating the Process Safety, Reliability and Integrity (PSRI) Governance Board, the definition and prioritization of Process Safety initiatives and leading selected initiatives. Manage Process Safety actions from audits to closure. Coordinate recurrent Process Safety team meetings and collaborate with various teams to ensure Process Safety priorities progress as planned. Act as the Process Safety Focal Point for Chevron Eastern Mediterranean (EMED) operations on safeguard management. Delivers Process Safety onboarding for leaders and identifies opportunities to increase Process Safety fluency in EMED.Coordinate and execute Process Safety priorities, co-facilitate the PSRI Governance Board, and be part of a team of engineers acting as the Process Safety points of contact for all EMED assets Focal on issues that impact Major Accident risks related to changes in Integrity Critical (IC) equipment and systems, discrepant material and deferred tasks. Deliver Process Safety onboarding for leaders, identify opportunities to increase Process Safety fluency in EMED, lead priority process safety improvement initiatives, and manage Process Safety actions from audits.
Key Responsibilities:
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support the Process Safety Manager in preparing the 3-year Process Safety shaping plan and defining and prioritizing Process Safety actions for each calendar year. Coordinate recurrent Process Safety team meetings. Collaborate with the Process Safety team, Operations, Facilities Engineering, and contractors to ensure Process Safety priorities progress as planned.
Technical Expertise: As part of a team of engineers, provide answers and solutions to technical questions related to process safety for all EMED assets. Evaluate and analyze risks associated with changes, discrepant material and task deferrals on IC equipment. For Management of Change (MOC), conduct Risk Assessment Screening (RAS), act as a functional reviewer, and facilitate risk assessments. Support the Health, Safety, Environmental and Regulatory team (HSER) with regulatory queries related to process safety. Support the Facility Engineering team (FE) with shaping of opportunities for process safety initiatives. Oversee the close-out of Process Safety risks, including reviewing and signing off high-risk close-out forms.
Project coordination: Coordinate selected Process Safety priority projects, such as the development of the Safety Requirement Specification (SRS) for Tamar, AOT and ECS.
Continuous Improvement: Systematically review Process Safety metrics, analyze data and trends, identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement, prioritize actions, ensure alignment, and execute improvement actions according to plan. Enhance Process Safety fluency by identifying opportunities and taking actions to improve knowledge and skills within HSER, the Process team, FE, O&M, and Base Business. Coordinate Process Safety actions from the OE Audit and other corporate audits.
Requirements:
Engineering degree
Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate projects
10 Years Industry Experience
