The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Production Engineer to join our team and support semiconductor materials manufacturing. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, optimizing, and maintaining production processes while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience with chemical processing equipment, collaborate across departments, and contribute to new product introductions and process improvements in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Working Hours and Location
This position is based onsite at our Sunnyvale, California facility and requires availability for the graveyard shift (9:30 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.), with occasional flexibility to support production needs.

What You’ll Do:
Create and issue batch recipes using available technical documentation
Ensure Production personnel follow proper operational procedures
Develop and maintain written Production operation procedures as required
Create and update process control standards and other Production engineering documents
Collaborate with Materials and QC departments to ensure effective use of raw materials
Monitor, collect, and analyze process batch performance data with minimal guidance
Design and coordinate experiments to optimize production process parameters or evaluate batch process conditions with minimal guidance
Participate in JSR internal business processes (Process Change, Material Review, Process Improvement)
Contribute to Design Review activities for New Product Introduction and Technology Transfer with assistance
Recommend improvements to work processes or this position to management
Work safely by adhering to safety rules, policies, and procedures; promptly report unsafe conditions or actions to the Supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring:
BS or BA in Chemical or Materials Engineering, or a related technical field
1–3 years of experience with chemical processing equipment, including pumps, vessels, and filters
Strong analytical skills related to chemical process data, preferably within the semiconductor industry
Familiarity with statistical process control and design of experiments software
Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
(Salary Range - $90,000/yr to $110,000/yr)
