 Marketing and Communications Intern – Overview


At NCR Atleos, our Marketing Interns are part of a dynamic team that drives brand awareness, customer engagement, and strategic growth across our financial and retail technology solutions. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain real-world experience in digital marketing, content creation, campaign execution, and market research while contributing to impactful initiatives that support global business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Marketing

  • Assist in the development and execution of brand campaigns across digital, print, and social media platforms.
  • Support the creation of marketing materials including presentations, brochures, and branded content.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across internal and external communications.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to inform branding strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Sales, Communications) to align messaging and visual identity.
  • Contribute to social media planning and content creation to enhance brand visibility.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting events, webinars, and sponsorships.
  • Monitor campaign performance and compile reports on brand engagement metrics.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas to strengthen brand positioning.
  • Help manage brand asset libraries and ensure proper usage across teams.

Digital Marketing

  • Assist in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns across email, social media, and web platforms.
  • Help manage and update website content using CMS tools (e.g., WordPress).
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance using analytics tools like Google Analytics and HubSpot.
  • Conduct keyword research and assist with SEO optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with design and content teams to develop engaging digital assets.
  • Research industry trends and competitor activity to inform digital strategy.
  • Help maintain marketing automation workflows and customer segmentation.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas to enhance digital engagement.

Integrated Marketing

  • Collaborate on integrated campaigns across digital, retail, and financial technology sectors
  • Assist in developing marketing assets aligned with brand and product messaging
  • Support cross-functional coordination between marketing, sales, and product teams
  • Help manage content calendars and campaign timelines
  • Contribute to social media planning and execution
  • Assist with email marketing and customer communications
  • Monitor campaign performance and compile analytics reports
  • Conduct competitive and market research specific to fintech and retail solutions
  • Help organize and support internal and external marketing events
  • Provide general administrative and project support to the marketing team

Communications Intern

  • Assist in drafting internal communications
  • Support development of messaging for special campaigns and employee engagement
  • Coordinate with design and digital teams to ensure brand consistency
  • Contribute to social media content planning
  • Assist with event communications and promotional materials
  • Conduct research to support messaging strategies and audience targeting
  • Provide administrative support to the communications team

Events and Customer Experience Center Intern

  • Assist with planning and logistics for internal and external events
  • Support coordination and setup for tradeshows and industry conferences
  • Help manage event materials, signage, and branded giveaways
  • Coordinate building tour schedules and visitor communications
  • Assist with on-site event execution and guest support
  • Maintain event calendars and track planning milestones
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams for event needs
  • Help prepare post-event reports and feedback summaries
  • Support inventory management for event supplies and assets
  • Provide general administrative support to the events team

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, HubSpot, Google Analytics).
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail and a passion for storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
