Our expertise spans signal and image processing, AI, autonomy, and Guidance Navigation & Control. We collaborate closely with other Saab engineering groups to leverage world-leading technology in areas such as explosives, sensors, and Command & Control applications creating products in our domain.
We are seeking a Senior Software or Systems Engineer to strengthen our Guidance, Navigation & Control team. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle—from rapid prototyping to deployment—implementing capabilities for unmanned systems. You translate theory and modelling into robust, flight‑ready implementations on real‑world platforms.

We are looking for a candidate who combines deep technical knowledge with a curiosity for new technology and a collaborative mindset.
Required qualifications:
A master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Experience in developing Guidance Navigation & Control functionalities, particularly within autonomous or flying platforms, would be beneficial.
A solid understanding of navigation theory and practice, including hands-on experience with hardware and measurement campaigns, is highly valued. We also look for experience in developing and simulating control systems and physical models. Proficiency in linear algebra, statistical signal processing, and numerical methods is crucial.
The ability to implement algorithms in software and transfer models into embedded systems is essential. Familiarity with simulation environments and tools like Simulink or Gazebo is an advantage. Additionally, a good grasp of sensors (IMU, GNSS, LiDAR, cameras) and sensor fusion methods, such as Kalman filtering and vision-aided navigation, is important.
