Are you passionate about design and excited to contribute to a sustainability-driven organization in the middle of transformation? We’re seeking a Production Artist (temp) to join Montrose and help bring our brand to life across multiple channels. Priority for this role will be given to candidates based in Spokane, WA, but this role is open to remote candidates in the United States.

As a key member of our Montrose team, you can expect:
An 8-month temporary position (40 hours/week) with total compensation of $35,000, commensurate with experience, performance, and qualifications

A DAY IN THE LIFE
As part of Montrose’s Brand Design team, the Production Artist (temp) reports to the Creative Director and bridges big ideas and final delivery—making sure every pixel, layout, and file is production-ready and aligned to brand standards.
Create materials including presentations, one-pagers, technical documents (RFPs, reports), digital ads, emails, and web pages
Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment—communicating roadblocks and meeting deadlines proactively
Participate in creative briefings and brainstorming sessions, asking thoughtful questions to clarify project needs
Collaborate with creative, marketing, and business stakeholders while also working independently
Support a distributed team across time zones, primarily in North America
Contribute to or support visual direction on select projects
Present design concepts clearly in virtual meetings
YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS
A well-suited Production Artist will have:
1-3+ years of relevant design experience; however, candidates with less experience will be considered if they demonstrate strong skills, a solid portfolio, and growth potential
Intermediate proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Apply creative problem-solving and design best practices across channels and formats
Be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage workloads under tight deadlines (experience with project management tools a plus)
Communicate effectively and collaborate in a remote, virtual environment
Receptive to feedback and able to implement changes quickly
Performing repetitive tasks with high accuracy and consistent quality
Bring basic photo editing skills
Have familiarity with digital and print asset specifications (e.g., digital ads, event collateral, email templates, social media graphics)
Knowledge of file formats and conversions: AI, EPS, PDF, JPG, PNG, etc.
Basic understanding of prepress and proofing processes
